We are looking for an enthusiastic scientist with a keen interest in human genetics and a background in molecular biology, to work with us on the functional impact of genetic variants in piRNA pathway genes on male infertility. The position is based in the research group of Dr. rer. nat. Birgit Stallmeyer, within the research environment of the Institute of Reproductive Genetics. In this DFG-funded project, we will be using large-scale sequencing and proteomic data to identify and functionally characterise novel disease candidate genes. REQUIREMENTS:
- Master’s degree in Biology, Biochemistry or a related subject
- Initial experience in molecular biology, cell biology, and/or molecular genetics
- Interest in reproductive biology and genetics
- Strong commitment to working on a scientific project in a collaborative environment
- Friendly team-player who enjoys working in a molecular biology lab
