The Clinical Epidemiology Unit at the Institute of Epidemiology and Social Medicine of the University of Münster offers a position for a DFG-funded research project "ClusterDiag: Evaluation of Diagnostic Tests with Spatially or Temporally Clustered Data", initially limited to 3 years, starting as soon as possible.

Project Goals: 

The ClusterDiag project aims to establish a comprehensive framework for planning and analyzing diagnostic studies affected by spatial or temporal clustering. This initiative will be translated into actionable research practices through our collaboration with the Institute of Medical Biometry and Epidemiology at the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf.

 

Role Description: 

  • Review existing methods in the field of diagnostic studies focused on clustered data
  • Enhance the estimand framework specifically designed for diagnostic studies to include spatially and temporally clustered data
  • Develop and document new frameworks as guidance materials and aid their implementation in research practices


We Seek Candidates Who Have:

  • A Master’s degree in Epidemiology, Health Sciences, Public Health, Biostatistics, Mathematics, or a related field
  • Experience with the statistical programming language R
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in German is a plus
  • A high level of motivation and responsibility
  • The ability to collaborate effectively in an interdisciplinary team
