The Institute of Medical Biochemistry, University of Münster, Germany, offers a position initially limited to 36 months.

 

Full-time with 38,5 hours per week
Salary according to German TV-L E13


The Institute of Medical Biochemistry, headed by Prof. Tim Lämmermann, is part of the Centre of Molecular Biology of Inflammation (ZMBE) and embedded within a vibrant research environment and part of various research networks.


Our research focuses on investigating single cell and population dynamics during innate immune responses. The successful applicant will join an exciting research program in a dynamic and international group to investigate the molecular aspects of mast cell and neutrophil biology in vitro and in vivo. For this, we use a variety of techniques specializing in various imaging modalities.

 

Required qualifications:

  • PhD in cell biology, immunology, biochemistry or similar
  • Excellent publication record
  • Strong commitment to research, and high motivation for interdisciplinary work
  • Strong background in cell biology, immunology and inflammation
  • Documented experience in live cell imaging and computational image analysis
  • Documented experience in mouse work


The following qualifications are considered an asset:

  • Experience in intravital, lightsheet and confocal microscopy, live cell imaging
  • Experience in working with mouse and human neutrophils, endothelial cells or mast cells
