RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervision of a research project on “Nanocarrier-based functional analysis of myeloid cells in inflammatory and autoimmune skin diseases” within the Collaborative Research Centre (CRC) 1450 “inSight – Multiscale imaging of organ-specific inflammation” (https://www.uni-muenster.de/CRC-inSight)
  • The project is based in the research group of Prof. Dr. Kerstin Steinbrink at the Department of Dermatology, which focuses on the analysis of immunological mechanisms using in vitro and in vivo models and imaging techniques as well as translational approaches to promote the development of novel therapies for inflammatory diseases at the molecular and cellular level
  • Independent performance of immunological and molecular biological methods
  • Presentation and publication of research findings at national and international levels
  • Organization of scientific collaborations
  • Supervision of technical staff within the research project

 

REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Doctoral Degree (PhD or equivalent) in Biology (or a related discipline)
  • Expertise in molecular biological and immunological techniques, particularly in flow cytometric and histological analyses, as well as experience with in vivo inflammatory skin models
  • Research achievements demonstrated by scientific publications
  • Comprehensive training and certification in animal experimentation qualifying for application of animal experiment licenses (TVA)
  • Excellent English skills
  • High level of motivation for independent and team-oriented research work
  • Proficiency in computer skills, particularly in MS Office (Excel, Word)
  • Flexibility, commitment, team spirit, and a strong interest in research-related topics
