RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintenance of cell cultures, cell biology work
  • Molecular and protein biochemistry work
  • General organization of laboratory operations (including ordering and
  • procurement processes, equipment maintenance and arranging repairs, safety
  • procedures)
  • Training of students
  • Computer-based documentation and analysis of research results

 

REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Completed training as a Biological-Technical Assistant (BTA) (gn*) or comparable
  • qualification
  • Extensive and solid knowledge of common molecular biology, biophysical, and especially protein biochemical techniques (e.g. PCR and cloning, protein expression (e.g. bacteria, yeast, insect, and human cells), Western blot, purification of recombinant proteins (HPLC, FPLC))
  • Experience in cell culture
  • Good IT skills (MS O􀆯ice, especially Excel), data collection and organization
  • Good English skills
  • Precise and independent working style
  • Organizational skills
  • Reliability, flexibility, motivation, and enjoyment of teamwork
  • Interest in scientific questions as well as responsible and varied work
